• California Doubling: Despite the boys all being from various Washington towns and attending the University of Washington, the movie was not filmed at all in Washington State. Filming took place in the UK, Los Angeles, and Berlin. This means that shots that include Seattle landmarks, such as the Montlake bridge, are CGI. Seattle, and Lake Washington in particular, is nestled against the Cascade mountain range, while the stand-in here is pretty flat.
• Fake American: English Callum Turner and Australian Joel Edgerton play Washington natives Joe Rantz and Al Ulbrickson respectively.
