    • In 2021, Gooseworx declared "D E E P _ B L U E" non-canon to the rest of the series, as it didn't fit with the grounded tone that was planned for the future of the series.
    • According to Gooseworx's Twitter, the emotion for the last Thalasin+ face is "Naritrance".
    • In 2021, Gooseworx, having lost interest in continuing the series, revealed the nature of the Blue Channel on Twitter.
Since idunno if I'm gonna continue the Blue Channel, I figure I should just tell you that the lore is basically just rick & morty interdimensional cable that one TV was able to connect to in the 90s, and all its content is being recorded on tapes by a research facility.
the "blue" is just the content that takes up most of the channel, and the actual broadcasts from other realities probably only show up like once every 60 hours if you're lucky.
    • In 2022, Gooseworx clarified:
[…] the only real "lore" was just a framing device for a few weird unrelated broadcasts from fucked up realities. There's no evil entity behind it, and the guy at the end of 1 & 2 isn't on Thalasin.

Other trivia:

  • Gooseworx posted some guidelines that she and Evan Alderete had written down when working on "BLUE_CHANNEL: THALASIN", such as "no over-reliance on animal anatomy" and "Emotions are all presented in noun form".
  • The drawings of the Thalasin+ faces can be found on Gooseworx's Twitter here.
