Trivia / The Big Heat (1988)

Go To

  • Creator Backlash: Back in the 1990s, when Johnnie To had found better success in films like A Hero Never Dies, he reflects on The Big Heat and admits that "it's good at places, but it was chaotic".
  • Troubled Production: The movie had a three-year shooting schedule, which is caused by Johnnie To and producer Tsui Hark having different ideas on the script's direction and having several scenes re-shot and re-edited. Johnnie To even admits that some of the scenes aren't done by him, but by Ching Siu-tung as a ghost-director.
