• Playing Against Type: Steve Guttenberg, best known for his work in comedies, is here the lead in a mystery thriller. Director Curtis Hanson and, according to Guttenberg, Dino De Laurentiis (whose company distributed the film) wanted to cast Guttenberg as Terry exactly because he would be somebody people would not expect to see in that situation.
