• Milestone Celebration: Jed MacKay's run launches during the Avengers' 60th anniversary.
• Production Posse: MacKay and C.F. Villa had previously worked together on Black Cat.
• Spiritual Successor: According to MacKay, the Timeless prelude was intentionally structured as one to Jason Aaron's Marvel Legacy one-shot (which had preceded his Avengers run). MacKay had enjoyed how Aaron had seeded the threads for his Avengers in that one-shot and wanted to emulate that backdoor pilot approach.
• What Could Have Been: According to MacKay, the run was originally intended to launch closer to the 2023 Hellfire Gala and overlap with it. Once the release schedule got moved up, MacKay had to come up with something else to happen while Carol and Kang shot the breeze in issue #2. He came up with Kang's 'Save 1,000 lives' bribe to Carol as a workaround.
