* When the narrator mentions “Christian charity” in regards to Mole and Rat, it not only foreshadows their role in ''WesternAnimation/MickeysChristmasCarol'', it might also be the only outright religious reference in a Disney Animated Classic. (Apart from all those mentions of Christmas... and of course ''WesternAnimation/{{The Hunchback of Notre Dame|Disney}}''.)

** Creator/BingCrosby (with help from the Rhythmaires) narrates, sings, and does a majority of the voices for "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" segment.

* NonSingingVoice: A variation. Ichabod's singing lines are provided by Creator/BingCrosby, while his laughs and screams during the final sequence are done by {{WesternAnimation/Goofy}}'s voice actor Pinto Colvig.

** If WWII hadn't swallowed up so much of Disney's workforce they would've developed these shorts into two full-length features rather than truncate them into their current form. The Mr Toad section of the movie was originally going to be much different - for one thing, the jailer's daughter was the one who gave Toad his female disguise instead of Cyril. This is taken a step further by Ratty, who wears a deerstalker cap and a coat very similar to Holmes' trademark garb, and Moley could pass very easily in appearance as an animal Watson.
** Ichabod is a ChickMagnet despite his gaunt features, much like his voice actor Creator/BingCrosby. He also does some of Crosby's signature "ba ba bo" scatting, in which his facial animation even changes to a greater resemblance.

* The two authors whose work gets adapted here (Kenneth Grahame and Washington Irving) were alive simultaneously for about eight months in the year 1859.
