- California Doubling: The scenes where Lydia is in the Philippines are shot in Thailand. Todd Field wanted to shoot in Manila but he wasn't able to due to strict COVID regulations.

- Playing Against Type: Mark Strong usually plays gangsters and villains and always makes them very intimidating and charismatic. Here, he's a lank-haired and bookish businessman who gets pummeled by a middle-aged woman.
- Voice-Only Cameo: Alec Baldwin makes an appearance As Himself, interviewing Lydia on his podcast Here's The Thing.
