• What Could Have Been: Jet Li was originally cast in another film, the gangster movie Crime Story, and the role he played in this movie was meant for somebody else. But Li's publicist was murdered by gangsters in 1992 due to getting on the bad side of the triads, and Li, fearing his safety, opts to drop out of Crime Story (Li's role in the other film went to Jackie Chan instead).
