• Disowned Adaptation: Unsurprisingly, the movie was panned by the real-life survivors for morbidly focusing on the cannibalism and other creative liberties, like showing them praying the rosary outside at night, when temperatures plummeted to -30º celsius. Some of the words used were malísima (extremely bad), porquería (filth), and "shame on a [brother] country like Mexico for doing a movie like this."
