• Creator's Oddball: Rather than a for-want-of-a-nail scenario involving Jaune or a drastic overhaul of the setting, this fic instead is essentially a romantic tragedy focused on Cinder, showing her beginning when she's at her strongest, her gradual descent as her feelings for Jaune complicate her plans, and finally her ultimate downfall when she chooses to let herself die. Coeur wouldn't produce another fic with any kind of similar formula until The Beast of Beacon several years later.
