• Creator Backlash: Much of the production staff wasn't fond of this episode, with Jeri Taylor saying she thought it was one of the worst episodes of the season. Only Michael Piller liked the episode on the whole.
• You Look Familiar: John Snyder (Aaron Conor) previously appeared as Centurion Bochra in "The Enemy," who fittingly expresses surprise that Geordi was not eliminated from the gene pool for his blindness.
