• Colbert Bump: While EYX already had many eyes on it from the Sonic.exe community due to the how it plays with the typical Sonic.exe formula, it did gain much more notoriety after Markiplier covered it in a video and gave it quite a bit of praise. He said at the end of his video playing through this game that even when removed from the Sonic franchise, this game is great in its execution of horror in its own right.
  • Following the game's initial release, many YouTubers took it upon themselves to remix the Water Goddess Mitula theme from Shining Force II, in turn encouraging more people to not only check out this game, but bringing further light to this SEGA classic in general. • Dummied Out: EYX and CYN originally had the names Draenog and Cynffonnau respectively, before Kaua simply decided to refer to them as EYX and CYN.
• Role-Ending Misdemeanor: CloudyCrack eventually opted to leave the EYX team, therefore leaving Kaua without any developers for the project for a bit. This resulted in the original page's removal, and a new page being put up on Kaua's GameJolt account.
• Word of God: In the Sonic.EXE Wiki, a lot of things had been confirmed, such as:
  • The fact that EYX's victims feel the pain they received upon death forever.
  • EYX can't disguise himself for long, and the disguise isn't really convincing.
  • EYX's eye is its biggest weakness, so it does whatever it can to protect it from injury.
  • Apparently, none of the characters can talk except for the EYX entities. This is left up to question from what we see of the fourth-wall breaks of Tails, Knuckles and Ray respectively and them trying to communicate with what they have.
