- Ascended Fan Nickname: A controversial one, but the US Advance 2 booklet does refer to Tails as "Tails the Fox", a common Fan Nickname for him. That being said, this hasn't stuck around for subsequent games, but it's the closest an official source has come to using this naming scheme for Miles.
- Dummied Out: Advance 2 has unused data for each Zone related to an "Act 4," implying that both would have had 4 acts per zone instead of 3 before being cut.
- First Appearance: The second game introduced Cream, her mother Vanilla, as well as her Chao companion Cheese.
- Refitted for Sequel: The invincibility theme for Advance 2 was originally intended for the first Advance game, until it was replaced by a rendition of the Sonic 1 and 2 invincibility theme.
