• Creator Couple: The 2017 national tour starred real-life husband and wife Rob McClure and Maggie Lakis as fictional married couple Nick and Bea Bottom, respectively.
• Cut Song: The Broadway production's previews originally had an unnamed love song quartet between Nick, Nigel, Bea, and Portia, but it was eventually replaced with a Bea's reprise of "Right Hand Man".
• The Other Marty: Beth Leavel played Bea in the workshops but didn't transfer to Broadway. The reason for this is due to the key plot point of Bea's pregnancy, with it being decided the nearly sixty year old actress had aged out of the part, thus Heidi Blickenstaff (younger by sixteen years) was cast in the role instead.
