• Actor Allusion: Lex refers to Jack as Jonathan's "good ol' boy."
• California Doubling: Happens a couple of times in this episode—
  • When two mooks are walking Lois to the helicopter, in the background you can see the Scotiabank building (because the scene was filmed in downtown Vancouver).
  • A bit later, when Clark is forcing the helicopter back down, the distinctive Harbour Centre building is visible in the distance. This one is perhaps a bit more jarring as you can clearly see the Commonwealth spelling of the building name which obviously would not be used in Kansas.
