Trivia / Satanic Panic (2019)

• Troubled Production: This was one of several films produced by the Dallas-based independent film studio Cinestate that have been said to have experienced this, largely thanks to the antics of producer Adam Donaghey, who acted like a cut-rate Harvey Weinstein in more ways than one. Allegations include long hours with no overtime pay, threats to destroy the careers of any crew members who objected (and Cinestate's dominance of the Dallas-area indie film scene meant that he probably could), and forcing Ruby Modine to shoot a sex scene with a PA who was a fanboy of hers despite her objections. These horror stories, and others from the sets of Cinestate films, came pouring out in 2020 after Donaghey was arrested for sexual assault, setting off a scandal that would ultimately kill Cinestate.
