- Writing by the Seat of Your Pants: According to a 2022 interview with Midge Ure, the songs for Rage in Eden were formed through gradual improvisation, making everything up as they went along. This was in stark contrast to Vienna, where the band rehearsed all of their material via live performances before putting them to tape in the studio; this difference in methodology is also why Rage in Eden took so much longer to record than its predecessor.
