- Outdated by Canon: Like many Hunger Games fanfics published before 2020, this story contains some elements that were later contradicted in The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes:
- The president at the time of the Twenty-fifth Games is Regan Candlewick who, according to a footnote at the end of Chapter 13, was in power for the first thirty Games. However, Ballad revealed that the president of Panem from the First until at least the Tenth Games was called Ravinstill note .
- District 12's first victor is said to be Mandy Marlowe, who won the Third Hunger Games. It later turned out that District 12's first victor won the Tenth Games and was named Lucy Gray Baird.
