  • What Could Have Been: The endgame was originally intended to be longer. After dealing with MetroMind, the game would have continued with Horatio able to roam around Metropol engaging in various activities and making different choices for even more alternate ending paths. Available options would have included placing Crispin's personality matrix in Scraper's body, placing Crispin or Clarity's minds in Metro Mind's city framework (the latter choice would have pushed Clarity to become an even worse tyrant than the one they just defeated), and digging out Charity's body to give to Clarity. All these "post-game" routes were cut, however, as game writer Mark Yohalem felt it threw off the pacing and that "if you repaired Clarity within the city, there'd be no way to persuade her to leave it; and putting her in charge of the city was too similar to how Beneath A Steel Sky ended."
