• Acting for Two: Richard, the Scientist and the Prototype are all voiced by Michael Kovach.
• Approval of God: GameToons has praised the inclusion of Killy Willy in Project: Playtime.
• Ascended Fanon: When Chapter 2 released, modders were quick to mod other members of Mommy Long-Legs' family into the game to terrorise the player with. Come Project: Playtime, and skins for Mommy based on them are fully usable and functional for players playing as the monsters. Same applies to Kissy Missy being a hostile entity in the game.
• Content Leak:
  • The release of Chapter 2 mysteriously contained within its files a pre-release beta version of the game, revealing some curious behind-the-scenes info. The most notable highlight is that "And Heart Breaks" is used as a placeholder song during the Statues game, clearly indicating where the inspiration for the final piece comes from.
  • After Project: Playtime missed its original release date, several assets for the game were leaked online.
• Cross-Regional Voice Acting: The Latin American Spanish dub features voice actors from Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Guatemala, Spain, Panama and Ecuador.
• Cut Song: Through various unused and leaked files, we can discover that a range of licenced music were used as placeholders through various stages of development.
  • Many songs by The Caretaker see use primarily as Playtime Co.'s old-timey soundtrack. "Childishly Fresh Eyes" was used for the GrabPack VHS, "It's Just A Burning Memory" was featured in the Green Hand VHS, and "And Heart Breaks" is as the music in the Statues game. All of these are replaced with original compositions, albeit ones that seem to take inspiration from The Caretaker's music.
  • The Mommy Long Legs commercial used the cover of "Itsy Bitsy Spider" by Little Richard as its basis, replaced in the final game with an original cover.
• The Danza: Jimmy Roth is played by famous director Eli Roth.
• Descended Creator: The automated voices found in Chapter 2 when pressing buttons were recorded by head developers for the game, such as Zachary Preciado as Huggy and Micah Preciado as Bron.
• Inspiration for the Work: Based on ZAMination We saw crossovers with Five Nights at Freddy's and Bendy and the Ink Machine. Even the official voice actors in the game appeared in these shorts. It may even be inspired by SCP – Containment Breach.
• Orphaned Reference: Mommy Long Legs’ commercial contains a warning not to expose her to extreme temperatures, and one of the workplace safety posters you can find features Mommy reminding you to be careful around fire. A furnace is visible in the final product, but the player hides inside it from Mommy rather than luring her inside, suggesting that the idea was changed later in development to the grinder.
• The Other Marty: An update to Chapter 3 changed the voice of Stuart, the old employee who gives Rich a promotion in a tape, to a different voice actor who sounds much more serious (and lacks the Mexican accent of the original voice).
• Release Date Change: Chapter 3 was originally going to release in December 2023, but was later delayed to January 2024.
