• All There in the Manual: Behind-the-scenes photos reveal that the barely-seen creature which killed Cindy at the lake was a Tylosaurus.
• The Danza: Most of the cast, except Pamela Bottaro as Nyla, Louie Lawless as Capt. Lee Norsythe (unless "Lee" was his nickname), and Mary Appleseth as Cindy. Subverted with Max Thayer, who plays Mike – at the time of the film, he was still billed under his birth name, Michael Thayer.
• Playing Against Type: James Whitworth, who usually played villains in exploitation movies, gets to make a rare turn as a good guy here.
