• Lying Creator: At the time of the episode airing, Mark Schwahn claimed the reason for Lucas and Peyton’s absence was the actors’ availability. Hilarie Burton would later contradict this by claiming that she was never asked to return for the episode.
• What Could Have Been: Season 8 of One Tree Hill originally received a production order of 13 episodes; had The CW not ordered the final 9 episodes of the season, this would have likely been the Series Finale, and subsequently the episode would likely have taken on another form.
