• Write What You Know: The school this movie was filmed in (Sang-mun High School) is the exact same school the director, Yoo Ha, attended as a student.
  • The entire movie is actually loosely based on the director's own personal experience in his high school days. There is one scene where Hyun-soo writes a poem to submit to a radio station; this is actually a reference to when he'd write poems a lot and listen to the radio often during his school days. Matter of fact, the director is actually a contemporary poet. So many of his associates were surprised when he wanted to direct movies.
  • Additional note: Lee Jong-hyuk, the actor who portrays Jong-hoon, is also an alumnus of this school.
