• Word of God: After the jig was up, David O'Reilly confirmed on a blog that the point of Octocat Adventures was not just for the sake of crude animation, but to both to study the internet's viability as an art showcase, as well as experiment with how audiences behave towards stories with low-quality presentation, and how they may come to enjoy them regardless of (or perhaps because of) the lack of "quality" of the work at hand.
