Trivia / Nightmare Alley (1947)

• Creator's Favorite Episode: This was Tyrone Power's favourite film of his own.
• Executive Meddling: The novel ends with Stan accepting the job as the "Geek". Darryl F. Zanuck ordered the reunion scene between Stan and Molly to be tacked on at the end of the film so it would not end on such a downbeat note.
• Playing Against Type: Tyrone Power, usually accustomed to heroic, leading man parts, bought the rights of the film so that he could play someone far more morally compromised.
• Vindicated by History: The film was a critical and financial failure when it was first released, but is seen today as one of the defining noirs of its era.
