- Acting for Two: In Austria 1985 Matt plays himself and a pastiche of a game-show announcer named Jim for the MSTF1 Gymnastics segment. Matt considered it a horrible idea afterwards, and dropped the segment from future episodes.
- Banned Episode: The 2015 Indy 500 episode is considered this due to having offended IndyCar fans with jokes in poor taste.
- Creator Killer: A couple of bad runs in 2015 nearly made Matt stop making the show.
- Creator's Favorite Episode: Australia 1991
- Genre Popularizer: MSTF1 and CookP1's Season Reviews are said to be the pioneers of the "alt-F1 community" of race reviewers.
- Orphaned Reference: In Australia 2015 Matt mentions a "Felipe Blue" in reference to Felipe Nasr. As explained in the episode itself, it comes from a line that was cut from the episode in which Matt references Felipe Massa as "Felipe Baby" and Nasr as the aforementioned name.
- He later made fun of it in the episode's remake.
- Out of Order: The episodes were uploaded out of order (up until a certain point) on the YouTube channel due to FOM's copyright claims, but there are playlists that put them in the correct release order.
- Screwed by the Lawyers: Because of Formula One Management's tight policy on its copyright and YouTube's automated Content ID system, the series couldn't be posted there, although he's since been able to fix that.
