• Acting for Two: Laura Dean voices both Sundance and Baby Cotton Candy.
• Celebrity Voice Actor: Paul Williams voices Rep in the second special.
• Missing Episode: There was actually another TV Special in the works between Escape From Midnight Castle and Escape from Catrina, which would have focused on the Rainbow Haired ponies. Alas, only one trailer for it was ever released, and the special has otherwise never seen the light of day. It is believed Danny was supposed to be in it, as a Swedish cover for the Catrina special vaguely resembles the trailer and has him on it instead of Megan.
• What Could Have Been:
  • As mentioned, the above scrapped special that Danny was supposed to be introduced in.
  • Danny's original design looked quite different from the final version.
  • There is a pony that appears in the first special but never received a toy.
  • The Swedish cover shows an older-looking Spike with wings. Spike, in all incarnations except G4 where he gains wings in Season 8 of Friendship Is Magic, is a wingless dragon whelp.
