• Ascended Fanon: Fluttershy uses her animal empathy abilities to sic a flock of geese on Cozy Glow during the Mane Six's fight with her. Fluttershy using her powers in this way has been a very common fandom idea for a long time.
• Content Leak: The Dutch version of this episode was released in mid-August accidentally by a Netherlands station (along with the remaining episodes of the season), which was quickly taken down. The English dub was eventually leaked on September 4.
• Fandom Nod: During Discord's flashback where he voices the Legion of Doom, recalling when they were scheming; for the first and only time in the nine seasons of the canon show, Discord (as Cozy Glow) refers to our heroines as "The Mane Six".^note Well, "Lame Six", but hey. Better late than never.
• Meaningful Release Date: This episode broadcasted officially on October 12, 2019, a mere two days after the first episode's airing nine years ago.
• Short Run in Peru: The rest of this season, including this episode, aired early in Ukraine on September 23, 2019 on PLUSPLUS. The episode was also released on the same day to nc+ GO's on-demand service in Poland.
• Word of God: According to series director, Jim Miller, The Reveal of Discord impersonating Grogar and forming the Legion of Doom to boost Twilight's confidence was planned from the beginning, as they wanted Chrysalis, Tirek and Cozy Glow to be the Big Bad Triumvirate of the series finale because they had more of a personal connection to the Mane Cast.
