• Blooper: At the beginning of the episode, the door to Fluttershy's cottage open with the hinges on the right (from the inside). Later, when Twilight comes in, the same door opens with the hinges on the left. And then, when she opens it for the pegasus guards, the hinges are back on the right.
• First Appearance: Of Philomena.
• What Could Have Been: Word of God states that the episode was "originally conceived as a tug-at-your-heartstrings style episode about losing a pet".
