* TheOtherDarrin: Of the eight characters that carried over from the first season, only Kitana and Scorpion retained their original actors. Johnny Cage, Raiden, Mileena, Stryker, Sub-Zero and Shang Tsung were all re-cast for the second season. Kano, if he appears in any subsequent episodes, will have to be a case if this as well, due to the tragic death of the original actor.

** In the pilot episode Capoeira expert Creator/LateefCrowder was Baraka, and Ian Anthony Dale played Scorpion. Both men previously portrayed [[Film/{{Tekken}} Eddy Gordo and Kazuya Mishima]] respectively.
