Trivia / Mega Man Battle Network 3: White and Blue

Go To

  • Bad Export for You:
    • In Japan, the game was initially released as a stand-alone title, with an Updated Re Release coming out later with new chips, content and boss fights called Rockman.EXE 3 Black. The English release gave the two versions the One Game for the Price of Two treatment, with the original game becoming White Version and the enhanced version becoming Blue. This means that, despite being billed as two equal versions, White lacks a fair amount of content compared to Blue (most notably, the fight with Mr. Famous and Punk). Every game since was in two versions from the start, so they don't have this issue.
    • A number of fullsceen graphical assets were cut from the English versions for space purposes, most notably the jack-in animation, Game Over background, and 100% Completion artwork. These are restored in the Legacy Collection rerelease, which like all Legacy Collection releases are based primarily on the Japanese ROM and feature dual language support.
  • Executive Meddling: The idea to split the game into multiple versions was dumped on the dev team at basically the last minute. This is why the version differences are so minimal compared to later Battle Network games.
