Trivia for the Game Show:

• Referenced by...: Being a staple of British television, a lot of people have referenced and/or spoofed it.
  • The most well known spoof is of course The Two Ronnies' "answer the previous question" sketch. By extension, The Burkiss Way, where the sketch originated, is another example. Said sketch was also replayed in Shattered, Channel 4's sleep deprivation experiment series.
  • The Goodies spoofed it briefly in "Frankenfido," where Bill Oddie, disguised as an abnormally-large dog answers four questions in stereotypical dog speak. Magnus Magnusson even reprises his role as the quizmaster Magnus Magnesium.
  • Russ Abbot had a sketch in which the contestent for Masterbrain of the Universe didn't know the answer to a single question, but his incredulous retorts just happened to be the correct answer.
    Host: Can you give me the name of the standard unit of electrical power?
    Contestant: What?
    Host: Watt, correct!
• Write What You Know: "Being interrogated by the Gestapo" is not a joke — the show really is based on its creator's experience of being interrogated by the Gestapo in World War II.
