- Abandonware: With the demise of Storm Impact, the creators released a free registration code for anyone who wanted it. However, David Cook now offers registration codes for all the Storm Impact games on his website for a $10 fee.
- Dummied Out: Until version 1.6, the game contained an advertisement for TaskMaker. The advertisement was removed, but the "TaskMaker" dramatic voice sound effect for that game can still be found using ResEdit.
- Working Title: According to the "About" box, the game was originally supposed to be titled Shred.
