• The Cameo: Marine and Wendy made a background cameo in Polish comic book Emilka Sza.
• Real-Life Relative: In the Flemish version of the animated series, Wendy and Marine are voiced by two actual sisters, Marlies and Evelien Bosmans. Ironically, the younger sister voices Wendy, while the older sister voices Marine.
• Saved from Development Hell: The plans for the comic books' animated adaptation were announced as early as 2009, but it didn't happen until 2017.
• What Could Have Been: The animated adaptation was originally going to be produced by Timoon Animation in 2009, but ended up being produced by Samka Productions in 2017.
• Write What You Know: Wendy and Marine are based on the artist's own daughters. As in Real Life, their father is a comic book artist.
