  • Screwed by the Network: CITV didn't heavily promote the series on its original broadcast, and wasn't repeated until 2005, which gave it a new resurgence in popularity and making it popular enough to warrant a DVD release of all the episodes.
  • Screwed by the Lawyers: The whole series is classified as this. Carrington Productions International sold distribution rights to HIT Entertainment, whose treatment and the later purchase of Carrington by Entertainment Rights made a second season impossible, although it was planned. The rights have since gone on to NBCUniversal, who acquired DreamWorks Animation (the then-owners of the Entertainment Rights/Classic Media library) in 2016, and according to Jamie Anderson (Gerry's son), he has tried numerous times to acquire the series from NBCUniversal but to no avail. At one point in 2017, a company called Little Dot Studios (A YouTube network owned by All3Media) began copyright-claiming episodes of the series on YouTube, likely due to the website's broken copyright system.
