• Actor-Shared Background: The voice of Tsuyoshi Aramaki is former super-featherweight boxing champion Takashi Uchiyama who guest stars in a game about fighting and martial arts. Ironically he doesn't voice the boxing champion character who's introduced next chapter.
• Blooper: In Hyuga's first fight, his fighting style is listed as MMA when he fought more like a Pro-Wrestler. In the second fight his style is listed as Pro-Wrestling after he reverted to his more grounded MMA style.
• Prop Recycling:
  • The Dragon Heat stage is just the Coliseum’s cage from the mainline Yakuza games.
  • Most, if not all of the move animation are lifted straight from the Def Jam Series. The heat actions are original though.
• You Sound Familiar:
  • Unshō Ishizuka, the voice of Takanaka, has voiced Tetsu Tamashiro in Yakuza 3 a year from when Kurohyo was released.
  • Kazuya Nakai, the voice of Naoki Toda, has voiced Hasebe in Yakuza 3 also and goes on to voice Yamagata in Yakuza 0 5 years later and Yakuza Kiwami 2 7 years later.
  • Kazunari Tanaka, the voice of Tetsuji Shima, also stars in Yakuza 0 as Wen Hai Lee.
