* IKnewIt: In September 2015, [[http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/932981-final-fantasy-xv/72533050 a poster on GameFAQs]] posted a link to a [[http://www.vgtime.com/article/2055830.jhtml Chinese website]] claiming that a CGI movie called ''Kingsglaive'' was in the works. The information was [[CassandraTruth laughed out of town and declared a hoax.]] In March 2016, ''Kingsglaive'' was officially revealed to the public. Considering that the movie had been in development for 3 years already, it now becomes clear that that Chinese website was definitely working with insider information.

* RelationshipVoiceActor:
** Creator/SeanBean and Creator/LenaHeadey previously starred together in ''Series/GameOfThrones'' as Eddard Stark and Cersei Lannister, respectively. Once again, a plot related to Headey's character leads to the death of Sean Bean's character, with the latter not knowing any better than to help her out of selflessness. At least this time their relationship is anything but antagonistic.
** On the Japanese voice casting, [[Creator/KeijiFujiwara Ardyn]] and [[Creator/BanjoGinga Clarus]] are [[VideoGame/FinalFantasyVII Reno and Reeve respectively]], though they don't interact aside from Clarus throwing glares and understandably distrusting the chancellor.
** [[Creator/BanjoGinga Clarus]] and [[Creator/KentaMiyake Gladio]] (father/son) are, respectively, [[Manga/MobileSuitGundamTheOrigin Gihren and Dozle Zabi]] (brothers).

Since this isn't a trivia trope, moving to the main page.

* ChronicallyKilledActor: In this movie, Creator/SeanBean provides the English voice for Regis Lucis Caelum CXIII, and true to ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyXV'', his character dies during Insomnia's invasion, with news of it reaching Noctis's party in the game's ''first chapter''. Hilariously enough, he stated in an interview that he was surprised that Regis was meant to die in this movie.

** Noctis's VA Tatsuhisa Suzuki [[https://twitter.com/OLDCODEX_EN/status/1327174358263971840 stated]] that ''Kingsglaive'' was made from what was originally meant to be gameplay in which Noctis and friends would be directly present during the invasion of Insomnia and would have to sneak out (itself seen in several very early pre-release screenshots for ''Versus XIII/XV''), but were forced to scrap due to inability to get the engine to run. It was then repurposed into a movie with the original protagonist Nyx taking Noctis's place.
