  • It would have been interesting to see StarToons's work on Justice League, if only Sander Schwartz had given them a chance. ^Explanation (Sander had accused them of cheating when they submitted an animation test, claiming "Come on, you know and I know your people didn't do that test work. You brought in a bunch of ringers from somewhere, and then if we gave you the contract, what would you do?"
  • They were also bidding to animate Jackie Chan Adventures.
  • According to the Animanicast podcast, the studio's name was originally going to be Hot Dog Animation. Jon's wife Chris talked him out of it and suggested the name StarToons instead- the "Star" part of it was her maiden name.
