• Dawson Casting: Since the film uses the same cast in every timeline, this trope is bound to happen. Ryan Corr and Craig Stott were both around 26 and 25 when they were playing as Tim and John in high school. This also means both of them played as 34-year-old Tim and 31-year-old John in the third part of the movie.
• Enforced Method Acting: Ryan and Craig was asked to date in real life to build chemistry. It was to the point where Craig stated in one interview that he developed a genuine attraction toward Ryan^note Craig is gay, whereas Ryan is straight.
