- Fandom-Specific Plot: Made fun of within the story. The tendency of nearly ALL "Harry-in-Azkaban" stories being a rehash of The Count of Monte Cristo is FINALLY made public.
- Although, the fic notably averts the popular "Sirius has a will and said will bequeaths upon Harry a ridiculous amount of political and economic power" cliche. Mostly because that would be something good happening to Harry. It is thoroughly lampshaded though.
