Trivia / Get Even (2017)

• Creator's Oddball: The Farm 51 was best known for Painkiller-inspired shooter games, namely Necro Vision and Painkiller: Hell and Damnation, the HD Video Game Remake of Painkiller. Their previous game, Deadfall Adventures, was somewhat more puzzle and story driven than their previous games but was still very much a first-person shooter. In contrast, Get Even is actually more of an Environmental Narrative Game with stealth elements, and while it is possible to play it as a shooter, the gunplay is deliberately poor and the story heavily penalizes you for playing it as an FPS. The Farm 51 have acknowledged this approach was poorly received, and their next game, Chernobylite, while still story-driven, has much more of an emphasis on gameplay and doesn't heavily punish playing it as an FPS.
• Distanced from Current Events: The game was suppose to be released on May 26, 2017, but it was pushed back a month following the Manchester Arena bombing.
