• Awesome, Dear Boy: The part of Hawk, the butler, was written for Michael Hordern. Although he was keen to take the part, his first reaction was that he wouldn't have the time. Once he read the script, he decided he had to participate.
• What Could Have Been: The script includes a few sequences that weren't filmed, in particular one where the characters visit a local fete, only for a thunderstorm to strike.
