• Irony as She Is Cast: The Shamoshans are portrayed as a race of beings who are Too Kinky to Torture. With the exception of Takahata101 as Condi, they are all voiced by asexual Marissa Lenti.
• Orphaned Reference: This movie teases the abridging of the next movie, Bojack Unbound, by having Goku break the fourth wall to tell Gohan that it'll be his movie next. The abridged version of that film was eventually cancelled on September 2019, due to the crew experiencing burnout from the source material being difficult to work with before cancelling all further plans outright.
• What Could Have Been:
  • In Abridgemon: The Movie, when it was titled as "Dragonballz Abridged MOVIE: BROLLY", Markiplier was listed as the voice of Broly in the original description. Turns out that Team Four Star did attempt to get him to voice Broly in the actual Abridging of the movie, but due to his workload conflicting with their schedule, he was unable to play the part. They also planned to have JonTron voice Paragus.
  • There were originally plans for Goku confronting Pilaf to actually be shown on screen, but both the length and the fact that it would require original animation meant it had to be cut. A rough animatic of the scene would be shown years later during the creator commentary.
  • According to the commentaries, the original plan for abridging the movie was to depict Broly as the socially inept fanboy of the Z fighters who would turn into the legendary Super Saiyan after being rejected but there wasn't enough footage to make it work so the movie ended up being a closer adaptation to the movie with Vegeta being the representation of the fandom's obsession with Broly.
  • Dr. Brief's line "I just wanted to see what the gay agenda looked like in person" was at one point going to be the much edgier line "I just wanted to see how human AIDs and cat AIDs intermingle."
