Trivia / Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance

• Content Leak: An exploit reveals that the PC port's trial version is not only crippleware, but easily-cracked crippleware no less; a simple hex edit allows players to progress pass chapter 3, where the trial is supposed to end.
• Pre-Order Bonus: The PlayStation 4 version had a bit of drama with it's Preorder bonuses, at least in the US release. Gamestop offered a Bunny Girl outfit for Seraphina while the official NISA online store offered a "special weapons pack" with no info as to what it contained. Many players went for the weapon pack codes, wanting unique weapons over a cosmetic outfit for one unit. Upon launch the weapon pack was revealed to be nothing but a set of common low level weapons one could get normally shortly into the game. Cue players with unused item code desperately trying to trade off their now revealed to be near-useless dlc code for the Exclusive Bunny Girl outfit codes with players ignorant of the content, only to be stuck with them. To rub salt in the wound, the Bunny Outfit DLC was left exclusive to pre-orders in the PlayStation 4 version.
• What Could Have Been: Early concept shows the Rebel Alliance looking quite bit different◊ than they do in the final game. The most notable changes are that Red Magnus was at one point going to have a more Bishounen appearance and Seraphina and Zeroken's designs were going to make their species more apparent. There also appears to be a young girl amongst the main cast who ultimately didn't make the cut.
