• One-Hit Wonder: While a consistent presence on the rap and R&B charts, Quik could never puncture the main Top 40 on his own. His only trip to the Top 40 was a feature on Tony! Toni! Toné!'s #30 hit "Let's Get Down," which he had a big hand in writing and producing.
• What Could Have Been: He was lined up to produce Invincible for Michael Jackson, but he was replaced by Rodney Jerkins as the main producer. He was later set to open up for MJ's This Is It series as well, until MJ's death put a stop to that.
  • Between Way 2 Fonky and Safe + Sound, he scrapped an album that (according to him) sounded so horrible, he completely destroyed the master tapes with a hammer.
