• What Could Have Been
  • Future State is a vestige of the 5G Initiative that was going to be the next DC Comics Continuity Reboot after New 52. Ultimately those pushing for 5G lost to those favoring DC Rebirth behind the scenes but Future State allowed the writers and artists to at least show off the concepts they had come up with for 5G, many of which ended up being integrated into "Rebirth" during DC Infinite Frontier.
  • Soon after the Future State event's announcement, Yara Flor was slated to have her own show, Wonder Girl, on The CW, and got as far as a pilot, but was not greenlit.
  • As part of the 5G Initiative", the black Batman succeeding Bruce was meant to be Luke'' Fox. However, at some point the idea was reworked and Tim Fox was brought back from obscurity, his name changed and he was slotted into Luke's place. Noticeably, Luke is absent from Future State.
