• Inspiration for the Work: Vincent Brugeas and Ronan Toulhoat came up with the idea of making this comic book after reading the books of historian Iaroslav Lebedynsky, who's a specialist of Eastern European history, particularly that of Ukraine (his family is from there), which he worked hard to recontextualize without Russian imperialist bias, something French academics were guilty of for quite some time.
