• The Other Marty: Philip Charles MacKenzie, who played Lisa's boorish fiance, replaced an actor who was fired after two days of rehearsals. This was done, according to writer Ken Levine, because "the trouble was finding someone really funny but still likeable enough that you didn’t storm the stage". Given how poorly the character of Roy comes off in the episode as aired, one wonders how bad he must have been as played by the original actor.
