• Distanced from Current Events: As the anime was produced and premiered during the time of the COVID-19 pandemic, many details were cut out from the crisis in the communal toilets. The original novel described it as a ticking pandemic time bomb, where if the disease spreads into the city, it can quickly kill and leave the survivors crippled and unable to make a living afterward. The anime toned it down to Ryouma discovering there was a high level of dangerous miasma and his Scavenger slimes worryingly developed incredible poison resistance; other details like how his perimeter guards were paid handsomely to keep people out and this almost-disaster under wraps were also similarly removed.
• Dueling Works: The anime version aired the same season as Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear, another Slice of Life Isekai show. Both shows even feature their main characters getting involved in similar activities like clearing out goblin camps, exposing embezzlement schemes, and starting their own businesses.
