• Real Life Writes the Plot: "Cop Killer" was inspired by real life acts of police brutality against black people and mentions the 1992 beating of Afro-American man Rodney King by four white police men, an incident that was filmed by someone who watched the proceedings from a distance. When the cops got off scotfree in a trial it caused a three day series of race riots in Los Angeles.
